The City of Spokane Single Family Housing Rehabilitation Program offers a limited number of low interest loans of up to $25,000 for home repair to low- and moderate-income homeowners. This program is managed by Kiemle & Hagood Company.

Am I Eligible?

You may be eligible if your owner-occupied single family house is located within the Spokane city limits. The household income levels cannot exceed a specified amount. All taxes and mortgage payments must be current. Other qualifications also apply. Contact Kiemle & Hagood at (509) 755-7555 for information and an application.

What Can I Have Repaired?

Program loans can fund basic home repairs, often including:

Insulation

Kitchen updates

Plumbing

Roofing

Bathroom updates

Electrical

Foundation

Flooring

Windows

Flooring

Gutters

Heating

Painting

Chimneys


How Can You Help Me?

Kiemle & Hagood staff works side-by-side with homeowners through every step. Staff can help you complete the application and assess the work needed to make your home safe and more enjoyable.

Kiemle & Hagood will provide a list of work to be performed and the estimated cost. The work to be done goes out to bid to licensed and bonded contractors who are on a list of prequalified and experienced contractors. Kiemle & Hagood staff will oversee the construction and city building officials will inspect the work. You must approve the work before Kiemle & Hagood will pay the contractor.
